breast carcinoma  in a large prospective study of women in  Iowa

This  study investigated the association between Stein Leventhal syndrome 
(SLS) and  breast cancer.  All participants were between 55 and 69 years old.  It 
 was found that women with SLS were 1.8 times more likely to report benign 
breast  disease than women without SLS.  It concluded that despite the high risk 
 profiles for women with SLS, SLS is not associated with an increased risk of 
 postmenopausal breast cancer.
