High Glycemic Index or High  Carbohydrate Diet May Not Increase Risk of 
Insulin  Resistance

A  high glycemic index diet or a diet high in carbohydrates is not associated 
with  increased risk of developing insulin resistance, according to the 
results of a  study published in the June issue of Diabetes Care. Intake of dietary 
fiber is  important in prevention of insulin resistance.
