Insulin-sensitizing  agents are increasingly used in the treatment of 
infertility and hirsutism in  PCOS. However, not all women with PCOS are 
insulin-resistant.  This study  assesses the degree of insulin resistance in women with 
infertility and  hirsutism.  All women in the study underwent a standard oral 
glucose  tolerance test and insulin sensitivity was calculated.
